Sofia Jurau, a 25 years old girl, from Puerto Rico, with Down Syndrome made her first appearance on New York Fashion Week as a model in the fashion industry.
Now she is Victoria’s Secret fashion model, and also she is the CEO and founder of her own brand called Alavett.

She was very excited about this big news and decided to share it with her followers on social media. She has always dreamt it and now everything is real. This is not the only project she has, but we should expect a lot more from her.

She is also part of a great project called “Without limits”, and it is a good form to raise awareness and to deal with stigmas people have about Down Syndrome.

Modeling in New York is not easy, but she achieved her goal and so, she is so proud of herself, being a model with Down Syndrome, without being afraid of people’s opinions. Her role in our society is very important in the whole world.

In the presentation of this collection, Victoria’s Secret has tried not to discriminate and to include all the standards of beauty and dispel the stereotypes of society.

In this catwalk, Sofia will be modeling with big names of the fashion industry such as Hayley Bieber, Taylor Hill, but also with plus-size models such as Devyn Garcia and Elsesser.
